Hi all

Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while…I have been very busy. Came on Tumblr today and was shocked to see just how many photo reblogs and likes I had acquired since my last visit so thank you! The bunnies love you all ;)

Big news at Bunny School HQ is that me and one of my bunnies Hippo have been put in the top 12 of the Burgess Star of the Show Competition! If you win you become the faces of their 2012 campaign for healthy fibrevores! This is something we are so passionate about! We would really appreciate your vote to help us get closer to winning the prize.

Bunny School update

I’ve been very busy these last few days sorting out the website for Bunny School. Currently it can be found (in all its glory) at http://bunnyschool.moonfruit.com but it should be moving to my proper domain bunnyschool.co.uk soon! :-)

I’ve also sorted out the Twitter account which is @BunnySchool

so it’s all coming together! :-D

Been busy also making sheets for the workshops and writing lesson plans. I hope I can keep up this motivation because so far it’s looking good.

Sleepy now though after 10 hours at Domino’s so going to bed. :) night. x

P.s. hope all those outdoor bunnies are tucked up safe and sound in this wind! If you’re not sure they’re ok, go outside and check now! (:3

My review of Megazorb

GREAT in a litter tray, not so great as a hutch floor covering.

So i’ve given it a fair trial now i’d say and overall it IS awesome but not in the way I was going to use it. I wanted a replacement for wood shavings and I think I’ve ended up finding something I’d use as well as. But that’s okay….

Megazorb IS, as advertised, very very absorbant. It smells a bit weird, but when soaked in wee it doesn’t smell of wee where wood shavings would. Therefore I believe it would keep the bugs away if we ever have any hot weather. :-)

I tried it all over the hutch but I found it quite messy and wasteful as it was hard to keep it tidy and every time I tried to do a partial-clean of the hutch I ended up throwing the lot away and starting again, whereas with wood shavings I find it quite easy to sieve out all the poos and re-use the shavings (yes I am a cheapskate).

So then I thought I’d try and see if my bunnies would use a litter tray. The answer was no in their slightly larger hutch, as each of them has a different preferred toilet area. However, in their slightly smaller hutch they all seem to agree on one corner…so I moved them into there, put a tray of Megazorb in that corner and did the rest of the hutch in wood shavings and straw. and BINGO, 3 bunnies all sharing one litter tray filled with magic Megazorb. This is where it really really works… a small tray lasts all day with the 3 of them sharing, soaks up every last drop, doesn’t smell and doesn’t even look that disgusting. And is super quick to change, and way cheaper than sweeping out the entire hutch every time. :-)

I’m not sure if anyone cares about any of this! Just thought I’d share hahaha cos i’m chuffed. Fingers crossed when I move them back to their bigger hutch they will have got used to using the tray and will continue, whichever corner I put it in. HAR (I somehow doubt it!)
